JEFFCO Wins Custom Home Of The Year Award

JEFFCO has been honored with five awards by the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association, including their 2002 Custom Home of the Year Grand Award.

A custom home builder based in Rockville, JEFFCO also won a Gold Award and two Silver Awards in the Traditional Custom Home category and a Gold Award in the Transitional Custom Home category.

Building homes since 1985, JEFFCO specializes in extraordinary, up-scale properties. "We pride ourselves on our professionalism and the high quality of our craftsmanship," says JEFFCO's President, Jeffrey Robins.

This year's homes reached an all new level with the combined efforts of fabulous architecture and tremendous, quality-conscious owners. We have highly educated and sophisticated customers who appreciate the attention to detail our company offers," he adds.

The Custom Home of the Year is an 11,000-square-foot "Shingle Style" home in Potomac, designed by Bruce A. Rich Architects. The judges cited the exceptional workmanship and quality craftsmanship, as well as the overall elegance and graciousness of the home, as being among the factors that influenced their decision in the award.

The use of an existing foundation and the excellent siting of the home, preserving the mature trees close to the foundation, also were recognized by the judges in their consideration. JEFFCO also won the Gold Award in the Transitional Custom Homes category for this project.

In the Traditional Custom Homes category, JEFFCO's second Gold Award was won for a 7,700-square-foot "English Manor" home in Potomac, designed by Custom Design Concepts.

JEFFCO also won two Silver Awards for houses in this category. One, a castle-like home in Potomac of more than 20,000 square feet, was designed by Bruce A. Rich Architects. The second, a 6,000-square-foot stucco and stone house located in Avenel, Potomac, was designed by Custom Design Concepts.

We're excited to receive these awards," says Robins. "Our site management worked very hard on these homes and are well deserving of these accolades. It's an honor to receive recognition for our work from members of the industry."

Eleven other companies also were honored in the association's Custom Builder Awards of Excellence, with JEFFCO taking five of the seventeen awards. M-NCBIA is a regional organization of 700 companies representing the building industry and affiliated firms.
